Toon Radio is back online and streaming

I have a headache at the moment. So, I'll make this post short.

Toon Radio is back online and streaming. You can catch the stream over at ToonRadio.net or by clicking the Radio link in the nav bar here.

I plan to add a few new tracks over the weekend. If you got any suggestions feel free to send them in.

Frederik Wiedmann to Score 'Beware The Batman' And 'Justice League'

Looks like WB has tapped composer Frederik Wiedmann for their next two DCAU projects.

According to Film Music Reporter, Fedrick Wiedmann will be producing the music for Warner Brothers’ upcoming series Beware The Batman. The DCAU reboot will feature all the characters you know and love with the voices of Anthony Ruivivar, J. B. Blanc, Lance Reddick, Sumalee Montano, Kurtwood Smith, Udo Kier and Cree Summer.

Wiedmann has already made the music for the upcoming DCAU DTV movie Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox. Directed by Jay Oliva, the film features the voices of Justin Chambers, Kevin McKidd, Michael B. Jordan, C. Thomas Howell, Nathan Fillion, Ron Perlman, Sam Daly, and Kevin Conroy. Wiedmen recorded the score in Los Angeles with a 30-piece orchestra.

This is not the first time Wiedmenn scored the DCAU as he has produced the music for Green Lantern: The Animated Series.

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox will drop on Blu-ray and DVD on July 30, 2013. Beware the Batman will premiere on Cartoon Network later in the year.

Going Back to Toon Radio Science

I’m going to restart the Toon Radio Science podcast this weekend. The series is going to remain audio-only but I am going to upload the episode to YouTube. This will give me something to put there while keeping the show stream-ready. My long range plans are to record the podcast live on the stream, but pre-recording them now seems like a good idea. My internet is still too slow to handle live events even if the stream was online. I am going to upload two episodes a week for now. The first episode will be a new one, and the second will be the backlog. I will then switch the blog posts for them to reflect this. I may very well return the podcast to this main blog though. I only used the other blog since Kool Kids Klub was here. But, since things will be on YouTube, I don’t need the podcast links for it. The Toon Radio stream itself will come back online next week.

Considering some restructuring

Happy May Day to everyone!

Still trying to raise funds to get the stream back, but I’m still rolling with ideas for it. It’s been tough being offline, but things have been getting better. My problem now is procrastination, and that something I have to deal with.

I have been considering restructuring the entire Toon Radio ecosystem including what I should do with this blog once the stream gets back. I have to eventually move the blog to the stream server as I can’t stay I Blogger forever, how and when to move is an issue. I keep the blog here to keep it on even when these downtimes happen, but I don’t know. I could of course keep the Blogger and move all the static content here. I have considered that too, but then the question is how to divide things up. I got a week to figure this out, so I have to do it now. I have an idea how I want to split the network up for each individual product/service I want to do. So, maybe I will go along those lines.

In the meantime, I have been checking out the new Toonami. TOM 5, Sara, and the new Absolution are fantastic. Nice job Adult Swim. I love watching IGPX again as well.

There is no music news this week (so far). So, I will end this post right here. Everything should be back soon. So, keep toned to this space.

Newbie Free Birds Music And YouTube

Hello, my fellow cartoon music fans! Things are going great and it appears that I will have the fund to bring back Toon Radio this week. The money should be available Thursday. So, I expect GoDaddy to have the server ready by Saturday. (Yes, I will be going with GoDaddy again.) In the meantime, I have been considering my options for the YouTube Channels.

Like the blog, I haven’t posted a video to the channels in months. I’m still not sure what I should do with them too. I might end up using the TRMeson channel as a blog (tied to Toon Radio Science) and put all my productions on the Toon Radio Channel. This is fine, but I still have to think of production ideas. I like to do a review show and some original stuff but those that time to develop. I would also like to turn the Toon Radio brand into a partner network, but I think just doing the blogs for now will get the proverbial ball rolling.

While we wait for the stream and YouTube channels, we can have fun with the news. I seems that the upcoming film Free Birds is tapping a newbie composer. Good for Relativity Media, I guess. A new guy gets the taste of cartoon music and the studio gets low cost music. The film will hit theaters on November 1.

Video Gaming Videos and Site Update

If you haven’t noticed, Toon Radio is still off the air. Not much I can do about it right now, but things are getting better. In the meantime, I keep forgetting that this blog is here. I tried scheduling updates, but that failed too.

Of course, I don’t watch many cartoons these days. I don’t have cable so the only things I can watch is Toonami (don’t ask how) and online video. This shouldn’t be a problem but I spend most of my time watching gaming videos including Charcolt64’s.

I find gaming videos fascinating in spite my lack of actual gaming experience. I didn’t play any games last decade and didn’t have my first console until I was 12. In fact, I stopped collecting consoles after the N64 during college. In college, I was a PC gamer, but I din’t have the funds to keep it going. I’m trying to get back in it though. Whether this will be Toon Radio related or not is still to be seen. I have considered a gaming soundtrack station before.

While not watching people play games, I have a budding career as a writer. You may have read some of my stuff over at Yahoo (which I post at Toon Radio Science), but do other stuff as well. I have even signed up with a website to do cartoons and anime series summaries. I will post links when my stuff goes live. All of this is giving me money, and I should have enough to pay for a server host again soon and hopefully next week.

Toon Radio Stream Update And More

I am still hesitant about making a post today, but I need to put something here so I am going to do it.

The Toon Radio stream is still down, but things look good for a come back next week. I got several projects going on right now that would give me the finds to make everything possible and then some. In the meantime, I plan on blogging every other day as well as do some important administrative tasks such as update the business plan I use here. I am still using the operating plan I created in 2003, and the ten-year-old concept for Toon Radio is show its age. I am currently making a update for it that should be done before the 10th anniversary of Toon Radio's incorporation as Toon Radio LLC on November 3rd..

Sorry about the meta post. With April Fools and Easter going on, there is no cartoon or soundtrack news to talk about today.
